25+ years building enterprise data and AI solutions. Now directing that experience toward the communities and organizations that need it most.
About
I spent most of my career at Microsoft leading Data & AI strategy for state and local government — education analytics, child welfare systems, public-sector data modernization. I was good at it. I also kept asking why this level of technical capability wasn't being directed toward the organizations working hardest to help people.
In 2022 I made an intentional decision to find out. I stepped away from corporate leadership to spend time in the St. Louis community — building AI tools for nonprofits, hosting civic tech meetups, volunteering with local schools, and founding goElevait.
I believe data and technology should create opportunity — not just optimize the systems of those who already have it.
Expertise
Built over 25 years leading enterprise data programs, government partnerships, and geographically distributed technical teams.
Enterprise analytics, cloud architecture, and practical AI implementation across commercial and public-sector organizations at scale.
14 years partnering with state and local government — education reporting, child welfare analytics, public data accessibility, and civic tech engagement.
Building, developing, and managing distributed teams of engineers, data scientists, and solution architects in complex, mission-driven environments.
Translating complex technical concepts for any audience and delivering high-quality outcomes across executive, technical, and community stakeholders.
SQL, Python, Azure — and deep experience building the processes, documentation, and quality standards that make data reliable and usable.
Hands-on experience designing and building generative AI applications using the OpenAI and Claude APIs to solve real operational problems.
The same tools capable of reshaping entire industries can just as readily improve communities and change the lives of the individuals within them.

goElevait is a platform I founded to give nonprofits the AI-powered tools they need to win more grants, build donor trust, and access skilled volunteer talent — so they can focus on what matters most.
The idea grew directly from my work with St. Louis nonprofits, where I watched organizations doing critical community work struggle with administrative systems that weren't built for them.
